BEING A GOOD PARENT
Being a good parent can be one of the most difficult and challenging venture, but at the same time can be the most rewarding and fulfilling thing we ever do.
The bible has a great deal to say about the way we can successfully raise our children to be men and women of God.
DAVID’S HISTORICAL LIFE
The Bible say that David was a man after God’s own heart we need to see what characteristics he had to Qualify for such an exalted description in the books of Acts 13:22 as the apostle Paul was speaking before the men of Israel and he tells them of God’s feeling s about King David.
Let’s look at some of the Key Characteristics of David’s Life.
Ø First he had absolute faith in God (1samuel 17:37)
Ø Secondly he absolutely loved God of the 150 psalms in the bible; David is credited for writing over half of them. (psalm 119:48)
Ø Thirdly Entering the gates with thanks giving and his courts with praise (psalms 100:4)
Ø Fourth David was repentant truly, it happed late one afternoon when David arose from his couch and was walking on the root of the kings house that he saw from the roof of the kings house that he saw from the roof a woman bathing and the woman was very beautiful and he sent for her she was called Bathsheba the daughter to Eliam and he made her pregnant
(2 Samuel 11:2-5) He admitted sinning (2samuel 12:13)
WHY DAVID WAS REJECTED BY HIS FAMILY MEMBERS.
According to the Jewish tradition it was assumed that David was born as a result of adulterous relationship of his parents Jesse and Nizbeth. For that reason, David was rejected by his family a members because his mother gave birth to him out of the Wedlock.
And so David was considered a “BASTERD” following the Hebrew translation the Word is “MUZAR” which means a “STRANGER” OR “BASTRRED” We get it in ( Pslams69:8)
He was an object of jokes and pranks, rejection, filling his plate with Gall and His Cup with Vinegar (psalms 69:20-21)
This explains why David’s Family members forced him to be the shepherd in the fields by himself, they were hopping a bear or Lion would kill him.
That is why David confessed his own adulterous relationship with Bathsheba he said “in sin my mother conceived me”.
If this is true it explains why Jesse did not have David present when the prophet Samuel came to choose a man to be God’s anointed king (1 Samuel 16:1-13) and why his oldest brother reacted when David later showed up at the Camp when they were being mocked by Goliath (1 Samuel 17:28)
JOBS HISTORICAL LIFE
Job was upright and Blame less man before God. (Job 1:1-22)
He always burnt offerings according to the number of his children. And he would be praying for his children’s Sin remember he was upright and Blame less but because he was not monitoring his children he said “It may be that my sons have sinned and cursed God in their hearts” thus he did regularly
NO MORE GENERATION CURSE
Deuteronomy 24:16 “Fathers shall not be put to death because of their children’s nor shall children be put to death because of their fathers. Each one shall be put to death for his own sin.
John 9:1-3 a man who was born blind it was not because of his parent’s sin but it was so that
Gods work might be shown.
Exodus 34:7 Keeping stead fast love for thousands forgiving iniquity and transgressions and sin but who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the children’s to the third and fourth generation.
2corithians 5:17 when one becomes born again……..
It’s no longer the Generational curse following us but it’s The Traits/ Characteristics of our parents because we carry their DNA. (Deoxyribon nucleic Acid)
This is a genetic blue print that determines a person biological characteristic. DNA- Is Located in the cell of the human body.
DNA TESTING
This has extremely become important because you can trace out where your family began and where they migrated to. You will discover your parents, Siblings Grandparents relatives that were walking on this earth 100 year ago.
Following the story of David, he was adulterous and a Murderer this traits he got them from his parents.
(Psalms51:5 were he said “in sin my mother conceived me”)
